Value Project

These are my 10 color then 10 black and white pictures.  I love the effect the black and white has on the value and texture of the plants.  It draws out the different layers of the flowers and the characteristics of the bark in the trees.

Shape assignment

This is an example of a biomorphic shape.  The circles and swirving lines combine to form shapes similar to animal cells.

This is an example of geometric shape.  The tiles in the pool are square, while the steps are triangles, and the tiles on the border of the pool are rectangles.

This is an example of nonobjective shape.  The shapes within the tile have no boundaries.

This is one example of positive/negative shape.  The positive shape is the basket, while the negative shape is filled with the diamond pattern.

This is another example of positive/negative shape.  The stones in the tray make up the positive shape while the negative shape is the table with the granite pattern.
